The IAC Central Asia Vis Pre-Moot is a prestigious international law student arbitration competition aimed at promoting the study of international commercial law and arbitration through a real-life practical legal problem. Organised annually by the International Arbitration Centre (IAC), the competition serves as a key preparatory platform for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and is firmly recognised as the leading competition of its kind in Eurasia, supporting Astana’s role as a regional arbitration hub.

Held in partnership with leading international organisations, including the Association for the Organisation and Promotion of the Vis Moot and the U.S. Department of Commerce CLDP, the competition attracts over 100 law students each year from CIS countries, Europe, Asia, and beyond, with preliminary rounds adjudicated by experienced international arbitrators and practitioners.
