9th Annual AIFC Moot Court Competition, scheduled for October 2026. The competition will be held in a hybrid format, either in person at the AIFC Court and International Arbitration Centre (“IAC”) premises in Astana or online, and will be conducted in English.
The AIFC Moot Court Competition is a prestigious event that offers student lawyers the unique opportunity to engage in a simulated common law court hearing. Participants will analyse a common law problem, research relevant legal principles, prepare written submissions, and present oral arguments to experienced AIFC Court judges. The Grand Final will be judged by three internationally renowned judges, including the AIFC Court Chief Justice, The Rt. Hon. The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
Winners and runners-up will be awarded internships at the AIFC Court and IAC. Students who successfully complete these internships will also have the unique opportunity to apply for an international internship at the prestigious LK Law Firm, which has offices in England and Australia, further enhancing their legal careers.
