The AIFC Court and IAC Climate Change Initiative Launch

The AIFC Court and IAC launched their Climate Change Initiative via the latest AIFC Court and IAC webinar during which the signing of an MOU between the IAC and the British Institute of International Comparative Law (‘BIICL’), one of the world’s most eminent international law institutions, was announced. The required rapid and far-reaching transition to energy, land, urban and infrastructure and industrial systems arising out of a global response to climate change is giving rise to new investment and contracts, and accordingly contractual and other legal disputes.

During the webinar, Dr Jean-Pierre Gauci, BIICL, gave a keynote address on ‘Current and potential needs of businesses in climate change related disputes in Eurasia’. Barbara Dohmann QC, IAC Chairman, and Justice Charles Banner QC, AIFC Small Claims Court, explained the current, potential use and benefits of IAC and AIFC Court services to resolve climate change related disputes as the number one choice for commercial dispute resolution in Eurasia.
