The training and competition are interactive and designed to empower high school students with international mediation and negotiation skills to improve relations and avoid conflicts in their professional and personal lives.
In 2022, the first AIFC Court and IAC High Schools Mediation Competition was organised under the MoU between the AIFC Court, IAC, and Astana Garden School, signed on 29 April 2022.
The AIFC Court and IAC have trained more than 200 Kazakh mediators to the highest international mediator standards and are committed to continually enhancing their mediator community in Kazakhstan. The IAC always has ready and available international standard mediators based in Kazakhstan and internationally to quickly and cost-effectively manage IAC mediation cases while also contributing to the useful application of mediation practices in the everyday lives of Kazakh citizens.
In 2023, the IAC held special mediation training for 12 hand-picked Kazakh high school students aged 14-18 years from Haileybury and Astana Garden School at the IAC premises in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan.
The IAC trainers are CEDR (Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution, UK) accredited international mediators from the IAC Case Management team.
All participating students are offered a place on the AIFC Court and IAC Internship Programme.
